Couples Swagger

It's finally his time...

The 1992 Masters champ is finally entering the World Golf Hall of Fame this coming May.

Personally, I think Couples entry should create an entire new category in the HOF called 'PGA Tour Swag' because that's what he's known quite possibly more for than his 15 PGA Tour victories.

After reading some reactions it's apparent some critics don't believe 'Boom Boom' is a worthy entrant as some are dubbing him only a 'good' player not a 'great' player.

Freddy's attitude and his charisma should give him bonus ballots/votes in my opinion, let alone the fact that he was the first American player to reach World No. 1 with the new ranking system way back in the day in 1992 when he spent 16 weeks as the main man on tour.

Freddy's story never really had cobwebs on it like many would expect even though it's been 20yrs since that magical 92' season where he won three times and captured a green jacket all in just over a month. For many though, every time they see Freddy not a thing has changed, except for maybe his back and hair colour.

For those who criticize his entry just remember it takes this to get in:

-Minimum of 40yrs old
-PGA Tour member for 10yrs
-10 PGA Tour wins or two wins in the majors or Players Championship

Freddy meets that criteria easily with 15 wins, one major and two Players Championship victories (84 & 96)

I'm just more excited that his swag will live on forever in St. Augustine and I can't wait to see what he puts in his locker!
